President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the production of the cure for coronavirus from Madagascar.
Federation government secretary Boss Mustapha, who made this clear during the Task Force’s regular briefing on Monday, said Buhari had instructed the presidential task force on COVID-19 to pick up the medication that was sent to Nigeria.
9jasongs reported the the drug named ‘COVID Organics’ was stated to be used for the prevention and cure of disease.
It was gathered that the consignment coming to Nigeria has been dispatched to Equatorial Guinea from where it will be shipped to Abuja.
Speaking on Monday, Mustapha said Madagascar donated some of the products to Nigeria through Guinea-Bissau and arrangements were being made to pick them up.
He, however, stated that Buhari has ordered that the products be subjected to validation process after they have been picked up.
