A man identified as Zeloti John was killed by his 21-year-old friend Ishaku after a fight at Kanwara, Dass, Bauchi State over ownership of a girlfriend.The unfortunate incident took place on Friday, May 29, 2020.
Ishaku attacked the man with a knife in three different parts of his body, during a fight over who was the girl’s real boyfriend.
The victim was killed by his other associates on Monday in the wake of screaming for revenge. Meanwhile the Bauchi State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of the suspect.

A source in Dass told Tribune Online that “on a fateful day, I saw the deceased, Zeloti going up and down between 10 am to 11 am in my area chatting with people as if he had a premonition of his death”.
The source who said that he is related to the late Zeloti confirmed that he was at home Friday evening at about 5.30 pm when he received the sad news of the death of Zeloti during a fight at the joint.
The source added that the information he gathered was that Zeloti was stabbed by the assailant with a knife in three different parts of his body over an argument about who was the girl’s real boyfriend (names withheld).
He, therefore, said that the battle was not on the girl people met with the late Zeloti but another girl whose name is yet to be known.
