Simi Dedicates Her Headies Award To Daughter, Deja and thank her for the inspiration she gave her
Nigerian singer, Simisola Kosola a.k.a Simi has appreciated her little princess as she dedicated her recent Headies win to her beautiful daughter Deja.
Simi whose 2020 “Duduke” earned her an award at the 14th Headies has appreciated her daughter, Deja for inspiring the song.
Recall that one of Nigeria’s most prestigious award shows, Headies Awards held the 14th edition of their annual awards on Sunday night, February 21 2021.
The singer emerged the winner of the “Songwriter of the Year” category with her 2020 hit song “Duduke”.
According to the singer, her first pregnancy inspired the lyrics of the song, and she has now taken to her official Instagram page to appreciate the little princess for inspiring her to write the song.
She has now taken to her Instagram page to acknowledge the award and appreciate her daughter for inspiring the song.
She shared the artwork on her IG story and wrote, “Simi Army…Deja thank you for inspiring me”.

Simi, in a recent tweet, stated that knowing that she can’t control her daughter getting hurt, sad, insecure, in pain, confused or afraid, has made her the most vulnerable she has been in life.
The songstress went on to state that she wants to be the best example to her daughter. Simi tweeted;
Having a daughter has made me so vulnerable. I want her to never be hurt, sad, insecure, in pain, confused or afraid. The fact I won’t always be able to control these things has made me the most vulnerable I’ve ever been in my life.
I have to be the best example for her. So help me God.
