The girl, a student of Government Secondary School in Ikot Ewa, Cross River State, was asked by a teacher to cut her coloured hair and she was allegedly angered by this.
Subsequently, she arrived at school with a gun.
Upon nabbing her with the weapon, soldiers were invited as seen in photos.
A man identified as Samson Idowu Alaba shared the story via his Twitter account.
Leicester City scored three goals in the space of seven minutes to stun Liverpool as the Premier League champions slipped to a 3-1 defeat in Jurgen Klopp’s 300th match in charge.
Mohamed Salah’s carefully placed finish gave the visitors a 67th-minute lead at the King Power Stadium, yet from a position of strength they suffered a dramatic collapse to slip to a third successive loss.
James Maddison equalised with a free-kick from a tight angle – the strike was initially ruled out for offside prior to a VAR check – before a calamitous moment between Alisson, at fault for two goals in last Sunday’s 4-1 loss to Manchester City, and debutant Ozan Kabak gifted Jamie Vardy his first goal of 2021.
With Liverpool still reeling, Harvey Barnes wrapped up a first win for Brendan Rodgers over his former employers since the end of his Anfield reign – and moved his current club six points clear of them in the table.
Chelsea Defeat Barnsley 0-1 As Abraham Puts Blues Into FA Cup Quarter-finals. Tammy Abraham scored his 12th goal of the season as Chelsea beat Barnsley 1-0 to reach the quarter-finals of the FA Cup.
Abraham tucked in his first goal of the Thomas Tuchel era in the second half and also headed off the line at the other end as the Blues knocked the Championship side out at Oakwell.
A young, fit Barnsley team gave a great account of themselves on a cold night in South Yorkshire, but it is Chelsea who will play Sheffield United in the last eight.
Chelsea have now won four and drawn one of their five games under Tuchel after he replaced Frank Lampard as head coach last month, and although they were not at their best, a much-changed Blues side had enough to edge through.
Callum Brittain missed a golden opportunity to put the Tykes in front 10 minutes in when he shot straight at Kepa Arrizabalaga from close range.
Chelsea should have had a penalty when Toby Sibbick caught Abraham before making contact with the ball, only for referee Martin Atkinson to wave play on.
Atkinson was right not to point to the spot following a tangle between Mads Andersen and Abraham, before Brittain’s strike looked like it might be heading in, only to deflect wide off team-mate Victor Adeboyejo late in the first half.
Tuchel replaced Andreas Christensen, who took a knock on the head, and Marcos Alonso, bringing on Antonio Rudiger and Reece James after the break following a somewhat flat first-half display.
Barnsley showed more intensity than Chelsea as they pressed the Blues high up the field, although the visitors’ Callum Hudson-Odoi flashed a shot wide after cutting in from the left at pace.
Rudiger then headed Hakim Ziyech’s free-kick just wide after 63 minutes, but Abraham broke the deadlock when he tapped in a James cross a minute later, with the hosts feeling the flag should have gone up.
Home substitute Michael Sollbauer almost scored with his first touch, but alert Chelsea striker Abraham headed off the line as Barnsley were unable to force extra-time.
What does it mean? Blues set up Blades clash
Barnsley had won both of their previous FA Cup ties against Chelsea – 4-0 in 1989 and 1-0 in 2008 – but they were unable to produced another upset.
Tuchel rang the changes after the win at Sheffield United last weekend and Abraham’s goal gave the London club a fourth win in a row. Barnsley made a much better fist of it than when they were thumped 6-0 by Chelsea in the EFL Cup in September, bowing out with their heads held high.
Eight-time FA Cup winners Chelsea, who have conceded only one goal in five games since Tuchel took charge, will play the Blades at Stamford Bridge on the weekend of March 20-21 for a place in the semi-finals.
Abraham up for the cup
That is now four FA Cup goals for Abraham this season and he also prevented Sollbauer equalising, producing a great header over his own crossbar. Abraham netted a hat-trick in the 3-1 fourth-round win over Luton Town, which proved to be the last match of Lampard’s reign, and here he accounted for another Championship side just a few weeks later.
He found the back of the net with his only shot of the night and was involved in 24 duels, winning nine of those in the air as he led the line well but lacked service other than from James.
Ziyech fails to make an impact
Big-money signing Ziyech did not look like a man who fancied a cold evening in South Yorkshire.
The winger did not win any of his nine duels and failed to provide a creative spark, showing a lack of quality in the final third before he was replaced by teenager Faustino Anjorin with just over 20 minutes to go.

Luno Stops Naira Deposits Over CBN Ban On Cryptocurrency, Cryptocurrency trading platform Luno said that since the Central Bank of Nigeria imposed a ban on cryptocurrencies in the country, it has paused naira deposits.
“Luno is aware of the circular issued by the Central Bank of Nigeria advising financial institutions in the country to close bank accounts held by cryptocurrency service providers,” the trading platform said in a statement.
“In light of this, Luno is pausing Naira deposits while we seek further clarity from the authorities.”
Luno said the ban will affect some of the activities on its platform as “Withdrawals will continue to be processed, but may take longer than usual.”
The CBN’s ban has had an adverse effect on major investment platforms and fintechs in Nigeria with companies like Piggyvest, Risevest, Agropartnership, Monnify and others making changes in their operations.
While the ban continued to face a backlash from the public, especially youths, the CBN said it was done in the best interest of the country.
“The recent regulatory directive became necessary to protect the financial system and the generality of Nigerians from the risks inherent in crypto assets transactions,” CBN spokesman Osita Nwanisobi said in a statement.
The CBN said the continued trading of cryptocurrencies poses a threat to its anti-corruption drive and national security.
“They are increasingly being used for money laundering, terrorism financing and other criminal activities,” Nwanisobi said.
“In light of these realities and analyses, the CBN has no comfort in cryptocurrencies at this time.”
Luno said that this would work closely with Africa’s regulators and expressed faith that it would resolve the issues raised by the CBN.
“Nigeria’s regulators have taken a pragmatic and forward-looking approach to cryptocurrency in the past and we’re confident that this issue can be resolved quickly, so Nigeria can continue to play a central role in the growth of cryptocurrency,” Luno said.
Luno assured users of its platform that their funds are safe.
The academic staff of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) have decided to join the Academic Staff Union of Universities under the auspices of the NOUN Academic Staff Forum (ASUU).
In a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Dr. Chuks Enwerem, the NOUN academic staff forum in its first meeting, discussed modalities for getting their entitlement from the Earned Academic Allowance (EAA) released by the federal government to ASUU.
The resolution was made 2, February, 2021, at the second meeting of the body, which was held at the convocation arena of its headquarters in Abuja.
The statement noted that the second meeting, which was chaired by the chairman of the forum, Prof. Abubakar Suleiman, briefed members on the progress made towards getting staff of the university to be included in the payment loop.
He said the efforts made included an interactive session with North-central ASUU officials to get a proper briefing on how the objective could be realised.
He said: “After extensive deliberations with the ASUU officials in North-central zone, coupled with other available information, we were convinced that it would be very difficult for NOUN academics to be included in the present arrangement to get their legitimate entitlement by going it alone without the national body.”
“If we continue like this, we will continue to lose out from what rightly belongs to us, even when it is clear that our academic load carrying capacity is one of the highest in the country.”
The statement also revealed that “In the light of the development, and considering the overwhelming desire of all academic staff to be mainstreamed into the salary arrangement of academic staff of Nigerian universities, members unanimously resolved to join the national body without further delay.”
Earlier, the NOUN Academic Forum had announced the election of Executive Committee members to steer the affairs of the forum. The executive members include:
Chairman, Professor Abubakar G. Suleiman; Dr. Kalu Awa as Vice-Chairman; and Drs. As General Secretary and Assistant General-Secretary, respectively, were Adenrele Afolorunso and Bridget Yakubu.
Others are: Dr. Muhammad A. Bin-Ali as Treasurer; Dr. Tunde A. Bakare-Aremu as Financial-Secretary.

Former Liverpool team mate and Celta striker Iago Aspas is among those questioning Barcelona’s management of Suarez.
The Spain international praised Atletico for sensing an opportunity and swooping in, insisting they have a real talent on their hands.
“The truth is he was a true forward, a winner even in rondos and training matches. He always gave 200 per cent,” Aspas told Marca.

Milan technical director Paolo Maldini suggested Zlatan Ibrahimovic is in line to extend his contract with the Serie A leaders.
Ibrahimovic has been a revelation since returning to Milan for a second spell in January last year, the evergreen 39-year-old spearheading the club’s Scudetto charge this term.
The star forward passed 500 club goals in Milan’s 4-0 Serie A rout of Crotone, increasing his tally to 501 with his sixth league brace of the season on Sunday.
Ibrahimovic is one of the two players, alongside Juventus superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, to have scored the most braces in the top five European leagues in 2020-21, while the former Sweden international has netted 14 Serie A goals in 11 appearances this season – 16 across all competitions.
Out of contract at season’s end, Maldini was asked about Ibrahimovic’s future as Milan also look to re-sign stars Gianluigi Donnarumma and Hakan Calhanoglu.
“We are one of the youngest teams in Europe and we need a leader like Ibrahimovic,” Maldini told BeIN Sports.
“We tried to sign him in 2018 when he was playing for LA Galaxy.
“He’s told us that the contract extension depends on his body, but if he carries on like this, I don’t see why he shouldn’t be continuing.
“We have three players with expiring contracts in 2022, we are working. There must be to parties happy to continue together, footballers are professional who only think about the pitch, we hope we are going to reach agreements soon.”
Milan are two points clear of city rivals Inter atop the table as they prepare to visit Spezia on Saturday.
