Kevin Mayer, TikTok’s chief executive has resigned from his job under pressure from the United States government to sell the famous video app to an American company to its Chinese owner. Mayer, a former Disney executive, became CEO of TikTok in May.

President Trump said the Chinese popular video app, posed on the United State national security and that the app could share citizens’s information with the China’s government.
In a statement, Tik Tok said:
“I have done significant reflection on what the corporate structural changes will require, and what it means for the global role I signed up for,” he said in the letter. “Against this backdrop, and as we expect to reach a resolution very soon, it is with a heavy heart that I wanted to let you all know that I have decided to leave the company.”
“We appreciate that the political dynamics of the last few months have significantly changed what the scope of Kevin’s role would be going forward, and fully respect his decision. We thank him for his time at the company and wish him well,” TikTok said in a statement
Mayer will be replaced by U.S. General Manager Vanessa Pappas on an interim basis, TikTok said.

A Ghanaian lady has courted social media controversy after telling men that girlfriend’s birthday they have to save at least N1,000 daily to help to in celebrating their girlfriend’s birthday.
Birthdays are special yearly celebration for everyone, and Twitter user, @CuntessLady has said that all men should save GHC 15 (which is N1,000) a day for the birthdays of the lady they are dating.
According to her, the men should use that money gathered to surprise their girlfriends on their birthday.

1. Designated Centers nationwide. Consequently, due to the global pandemic of the Corona Virus COVlD-19), the rescheduling of WAEC examination among other reasons and to observe physical distancing so as to contain the spread of the corona virus. The Academy decided to subscribe into Computer Based Test (CBT) for the conduct of its Selection Examination.
2. In the light of the above and in view of the preparation for the CBT, time constraint, logistics and other administrative issues, the Academy had to consider rescheduling the conduct of the Selection Examination to another date. That the Examination will now be slated for Thursday 17th and Saturday 19th September, 2020. The Academy regrets any inconvenience this may have caused.
